The purpose of the processing of personal data
Belnet viaBel.net offers an easy and a secure way to create shrunk URLs for communication's facilities.
Personal data and log files are used for
- user authentication and authorization
- collection of the created URLs to operate the service itself
- statistics and development of the service
Processed data
Following personal information is fetched from the Identity Provider server of your home organisation every time you log in to the service:
- name
- email address
- unique ID to identify the user (eduPersonPrincipalName)
- home organisation's name
When creating a shorten URL via the service, also following data is stored to the database or log:
- email addresses of the recipients
- name of the URL's creator
- origin's IP address
- shrunk URL
- long associated URL
- timestamp
Retention of personal data
URLs are stored until the user removes the data from the database by himself.
Personal's information is kept in the database until user ask to delete it.
Principles of protecting personal data
In the network, TLS technology is used to protect personal data. In the service, the personal database is protected by auhtorized personal user accounts. The server is protected by firewall and security updates are followed by administrators.
Disclosure of personal data to third parties
Personal data is not disclosed to third parties.
Transfer of personal data outside the EU or EEA
Personal data shall not be transferred outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.

Rectification
Contact your home organisation to correct the personal data that is fetched from there.
